CASTLE

Two versions of an image from a film I created in 03'? 04? I forget. The actual dimensions of the drawing are about 40in tall.

(ink/digital)

ESMERALDA (NOTRE DAME PROJ.)

Originally a drawing, I completely hated the background. So I decided to rework it digitally.
I don't really have any idea where it's going, theme-wise. I DO like her antennae.

THE CRIPPLED (NOTRE DAME PROJ.)

Here's two versions of the same character. The advantages of working digital help me keep a progressive stride.

PHOTOSHOP

Somethings come back. I haven't seen this one in years. Forgot it existed. I try and photograph all my work shortly after it's complete. It keeps me organized. This image is from 04'. I reworked it a little in photoshop. Just having some fun.

IT RAINS!

Possibly my favorite series of drawings. They came about unexpectedly. Almost by mistake. This is only four of nine, I think.

DAVID

When I drew this I thought nothing of it. Nothing special. Mike told me it was something he'd never seen me do. I kept staring at it, thinking he was crazy. I spent a week trying to figure out why it was special.

What it did do for me was mark a change in how I thought of my work. Confidence is something I always struggled with. I don't think anyone that assembles ideas is ever 100 percent confident. But there are times when you feel like you can do no wrong. The period might last a day, week, month and out of nowhere disappear.

CARICATURES

From CSSSA a few years back.

A test for a feature film I worked on. There's more but I don't think I should put them up.

OLD ONES

Look what I found... From 2nd year at CalArts. Shadow and Sarah. I miss drawing shadow. He was actually one of the first models I ever drew, along with Peggy. The Shadow kinda reminds me of univision... HA!
